First of all… Fuck this band… Seriously… If you are going to release one track PLEASE make it a terrible track.  But no.. The dudes in Neev decided to put out a rad track, wait… even more rad than rad.  The dudes in Neev decided to put out a gnarly track.  When I started it up I am stoked, then one minute and fifth-teen seconds later it is over and I am am like “fuck, the fun is over, I want more, I want it all.”  But there is nothing more, just one track

Never have I posted a bad review on this blog, seriously read all the reviews, the point of this blog is to post rad music but I want to put it out there.  DO NOT listen to this band.  It will ruin your day that they don’t have anymore songs to jam to.

Yes please.  This band decided to send me an e-mail and I’m so glad that they did.  When I heard the first track I was so oddly interested in hearing the next.  I know when I feel this I am going to love something and this is simply what happened with this band.  Dormancy does all the time what most bands lately have been doing just for one track off a record and that is spoken word over rad music.  This is really tough because the lyrics have to be spot on because everyone can hear them perfectly and holy shit does Dormancy have some good lyrics.  I’m seriously jealous, and if you are in a band right now you should be jealous too.  Give this record a chance and than thank me when you do.

The big jams are On Or Close which ending lyrics kind of remind me of the Litany Against Fear (anyone?)  Then Bloodlines has background vocals that are brutal so listen and cry.

How do you know if you like a record?  If you listen to it a thousand times and it is still as rad as the first time you hear it.  Well that’s the best way to describe this release.  Three songs just over 13 minutes and that make you wanna just put that shit on repeat.  That’s what this record is all about.  Three epic post hardcore songs that hit so close to home, all you can do is say, fuck it lets do it again, I wanna go through this record again and again.  This just could be the best band forever releasing gold after gold.  Or… tears after tears…

Come on and bring the gnar, is the real title of this release because holy shit it will melt your face off.  This is the time and place that I needed a band like this.  Everyone is talking about it so, I’m sure people have better words and more articulate sentences but forget that, just listen to this and rage.  Lush is the jam

This band is what I wanted 1994! to sound like.  It is poppy, dirty, noodly, full of places to sing along too.  Listening to this record is the perfect way to start out your fall.  I would include a total rad track but this record is full of jammers.  Listen now.

Yo.  You should check this out right now.  If you are into getting bummed out like I am, you’ll get stoked on this and then get bummed out again because life is meaningless.   A lot of noodles, a lot of sing alongs.  Dudes can bring it in a basement.  The second track is the jam.

Note to band: Vegansim is Easy! All day everyday.

Statuette – Residual & Timeless

Release Title – Residual & Timeless
Medium – Mp3
Label – (Never Lost Records)
Style – Post Hardcore/Hardcore
From -Austin, Texas, United States

Info -

Let us jump right into this… Residual & Timeless combines what I love about current Post Hardcore and what I didn’t know I loved about 2000′s era Hardcore.  There are solid melodic guitar parts mixed with up beat drums mixed with sorrowful lyrics.  It’s like Statuette wants to throw you into the mud to deal with the bleakness of life while saying “There are so many of us going threw the same bleak shit.”

I’m pretty sure that is 100% the most accurate way to describe this band.  If I were to see them live I would lose my voice screaming along to all the lyrics.  Thanks guys.

I’ve spent the last three plus months listening to this album.  I know… I haven’t been saying a lot or posting a lot on this blog but Clay Davis would say “Shheeeeeeeeet” after listening to this record.  I’m pretty confident when I say that this split is the best release of the year.  I know, It’s mid March but fuck it… This split brings together four rad bands.  Not four bands, but four bands that know how to write fucking badass songs.  Now I could do one of two things.  1.  Write a in depth description categorizing each single thousand reason describing why you should listen to this record OR. 2. simplying stating that this will be the best record of the year and you don’t need to read anything about it and just listen to it.  I’ll go with the later.  Listen to this record, go buy it and then get emo….

P.S.

I am moving to Cleveland, Ohio In 13 days so if you want to kick out your singer and have me take over check out my resume.

Oh man!  I am moving to Ohio in about two weeks so why not review some rad Ohio Bands?

Maumelle is a band from southern Columbus Ohio and play a mixture of noodlely emo and 90′s pop punk emo.  I’m sure that if you are reading this blog that you are interested in that description.  Most of the vocal’s are Gainesville abrasive.  Maybe this is one of the best records in a while.  I don’t know, you be the judge and listen to it right now!
