Lara Korona isn’t a usual suspect for Every Poets Disease: they play German post-rock. However, with some excellent instrumental breaks, intense vocals (even if I don’t know what they are saying), and interesting musical arrangements Lara Korona is sure to please. This record is a perfectly suited soundtrack for those droning days at work or school where you feel a world apart from the present. The album really progresses with the last two tracks. Yes Yes Yes! I cannot begin to describe how much I love this band. Anteater is a brutal female fronted Post-Hardcore band from Germany. Each track is so beautiful and emotional while blending intensity so perfectly. I can’t believe so many good bands are coming out of germany right now. Come to the US and have fun sometime?

Yes Yes Yes! At almost forty minutes long Dialectics a masterpiece brought to you from We Had A Deal. These german dudes give us an incredibly passionate and artistic album. They remind me at times of 90s screamo while mixing with modern day post hardcore. The interludes between some songs really surprised me but they fit perfectly and make the album an instant classic. Go listen to it and buy it!

I don’t usually post record teasers but in my defense I didn’t know this was a teaser until I went to get more details on it. To Continents. defense these two songs are so fucking great they could be on a seven inch by themselves. Continents. plays the perfect mix of Post-Hardcore and Melodic-Hardcore, they have honest exasperated vocals, which is something that I love while perfectly blending into the melodic nature of their guitar lines. The second track on this teaser has a slow build up that gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. I cannot wait for this full album to drop because I am sure it will blow me away as well

This is what I have needed lately, something more intense, something louder, something that makes you want to yell, I am angry and I deserve that feeling god damn it. I found all that in The Tidal Sleep. This band is from Germany but they sound more like an american band due to their style. Highly influenced by Pianos and another post emo acts this band surely delivers music that is passionate, interesting and new. By combining influnces from around the emo/post hardcore perspective, The Tidal Sleep gives us something that will make you want to listen to over and over again.

Kontrapunkt was a band from Germany that I stumbled upon during my days of listening to solely Last.fm a few years ago. This seven inch is by far beyond amazing, there is this breakdown spoken word with call and return duel vocals part in I Am Befreit that gives me chills every time I listen to it. Surely a perfect seven inch screamo record that everyone should have in their library. They broke up sometime in 2008 I believe but the download link contains their whole discography because I couldn’t find the singled out seven inch

looks are deceiving, this cover art lies in the land of “avoid” for most people but it is worth checking out. Grave, Shovel… Let’s Go! brings some up beat mathy toons. They open with starts and stops while including some great sing along parts then they bust into a musical interlude. Meandgoliath bring on a more intense sound that is a bit speedier and way more screamier than their counterparts on this split. They open with a gloomy build up into some call and respond vocals, which is another thing that I love. I somehow lost this record in the mist of a big seven inch purchase a while back when some dude from Europe was touring with a distro with a band that I can’t remember now so I got a lot of foreign seven inches all at once.
